Ameer-e Jamaat sad at the demise of senior journalist Ghulam Hasnain Kaif Nauganwi

New Delhi, 11 Jan 2014: Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, Ameer (National President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has expressed deep sorrow on the demise of veteran journalist Ghulam Hasnain Kaif Nauganwi. He prayed for higher places for him in the paradise and expressed sympathy with his family. Kaif Nauganwi was a sympathetic and considerate journalist and an active social worker. He breathed his last today (Saturday) after a brief illness in Nagpur. He was 83.

 

For over 50 years, Kaif Nauganwi had been highlighting Muslim viewpoints and issues through letters and articles in more than 80 newspapers in English, Urdu, Hindi and Marathi languages. Moreover, he would offer wise comments in sympathetic way on moral, economic and political issues of the country. Newspapers would give proper space to his letters and comments. He had been writing letters and articles for Radiance Viewsweekly, Dawat and Kanti also. He was striving for spread of Islamic values. His circle of friends was very wide. He was equally popular among Muslim and non-Muslim friends.
