Alhamdulillah … By the Grace of almighty Allah MSS (Kurla) had arranged CME program yesterday at new Naaz Hotel situated Jari Mari on “Diabetic Management in Ramdan” with Dr. SUHAIL Khan(MD PHYSICIAN) who is one of eminent physician in Kurla. Total 29 General Practitioner and 5 consultants had attended the CME.
Program started with introduction of Dr. SUHAIL Khan by Dr. Aleem Shaikh General Secretary of MSS, Dr. SUHAIL concisely explained Diabetic Management specially in the holy month of Ramdan. He said that Muslim patients never tend to skip their fast because of religious beliefs so we have to manage as accord. We should start medicine which doesn’t cause hypoglycemia (low sugar level) so many medicine available in market and patients should take medicines in two parts i.e. one high dose in Iftar and lower dose in Sahar (Sehri) more on never use combinational drugs and fast acting drugs as they cause hypoglycemia.
Patient must take three meals Iftar, After Taraveeh and Sahar, diabetic patient must avoid fried food stuffs rather patient can have 1 to 2 dates (khajoor).
Program continued with Dr Kumail Sayed (Plastic cosmetic & reconstructive Surgeon) completed his fellowship from Istanbul (Turkey) *in DAFPRS ducht association of facsial plastic & reconstructive surgery, Shared his fellowship experience.
The program then handed over to Dr. Sukesh Thakur general surgeon who praised the marvelous activities of MSS and said that I’m proud to be a part of MSS group.
