Jamat e Islami Hind Pune Unit organized an Eid Milan Program on 25th of July 2015. A seminar was also held on the topic “Purpose of festivals in different religions.” Guest speakers were Dr. Ikram Katewala, Father V. Louis, and Gyani Singhji.
More than 375 people from different faiths attended this program. This was the 3rd Eid Milan program in a row on the occasion of “Eid ul Fitr” at Kedari Garden, Pune. This initiative was led by JIH Ladies wing and saw increase in audience strength compared to last year.
Along with the Holy Quran, conceptual literature in the form of gift pouches was gifted on the topics like “Why Muslims fast in Ramadan” and “Ramadan – the month of holy Quran” in English and Marathi. The work of Islamic Information center – Pune was also highlighted during the program.
