Sewing Classes for Deprived Girls

Posted on 16 December 2018 by Webmaster JIH Maharashtra

Fulfilling a long cherished dream, JIH Mira Road started a sewing class today to make poor and orphaned girls self-reliant.

The first batch consists of 10 students- four orphans and six from deprived families.

SewingA qualified and experienced teacher would teach them Dress cutting, Dress making, patchwork and hand stitching. Class timings are from 2-5pm and the course duration would be of 5 months, after which they would be granted certificates by Falahe Aam Trust, under which the Community Welfare Centre operates.

No fees would be charged from the students. The monthly expenses of ₹5000 towards the teacher’s salary would be provided by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Mira Road, for which we humbly solicit your gracious support and contribution. We are but a medium.

Let us pray these students become self-reliant and are able to support themselves and their families to lead a dignified life.
