Social Networking – Transparency and Authenticity

Social Networking empowered Aam Admi. Transparency and authenticity are the biggest challenge for the web world.

Social media has empowered common people to express their opinions, dissent and distress without any one censoring but needs improvement in transparency and authenticity, said Mohammed Rehan, Media Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maharashtra.

He was speaking in a workshop on Social Networking for the cadres of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra on Sunday attended by nearly 50 people from Maharashtra.

With a billion users of Facebook, Youtube and millions on Twitter and Linkedin we have an unprecedented opportunity and the responsibility to use them effectively and spread the message of Allah, Mohammed Rehan added.
Muslims are KhaireUmmat, leader of the nations, we should have invented these apps and much better but sad to see that we are holding training camps and workshops for it he said.

Aslam Gazi, Secretary of National Affairs of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maharashtra outlined the vision of Jamaat in Social Networking. He guided to evolve strategies to use social media effectively in a planned and objective manner, develop skill, start and intervene in the discussion to influence public opinion on important national and international issues.
More importantly, Aslam Gazi said, the guidance of Allah revealed on Prophet Muhammad PBUH must reach to each and every human being on this earth.

Role of Social Media in the Arab uprising, its importance in the fight against corruption led to the emergence of Aam Admi Party in India were presented. How Social Networking changed the perception of Narendra Modi was an interesting topic of the day.
Ziyaul Islam, Software Engineer; Afroz Alam, Editor of Beyondheadlines.in; Tabrez Alamgeer, Director of Moral Vision explained the effective use of Twitter, Facebook and Youtube respectively.

Hamza Mauzam Ali, M.Tech suggested means to Enhance Social Media skills. He said, “Engaging with the Target Audience, its Aim (Call to Action) and presentation are the 3 mantras for effective communication on the social networking platforms.”

Zafarullah Khan, editor, Maharathi and Irfan Usmani, journalist and social activist who posted the photos and videos of Combing Operation in Mumbra were felicitated for their timely action and effective use of Social Media.

For the effective use of these platforms, a Social Networking Cell was formed.
