The Mumbai chapter of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), in association with Sadbhavna Manch, IIC, PSF, AIITA and SIO, successfully concluded a massive campaign on social and inter-religious harmony by the name, #Nafrat_Ka_Nash_Manavta_Ka_Vikas this evening. This campaign was being conducted right from the 20th of December 2018.

All over the city, lectures were held in schools and colleges, sermons were delivered from the pulpit, people were approached at street corners and outside railway stations, meetings were held with the heads of various social institutions and NGOs and attempts were made to reach out to all sections of society with a single simple message- Let us Unite against Hate. As expected, the response was also overwhelmingly positive, with each resident of this cosmopolitan city feeling the urgent need to mend the social fabric of our country.

Moreover, a Selfie contest by the name, Selfie Against Hate was floated, wherein people were encouraged to take selfies with people of various religious faiths to promote bonhomie.

Similarly, a quiz contest with attractive cash prizes was held online as well as offline for non-Muslim brethren, with questions directed at clearing misunderstandings about the minority community. This was intended at fostering inter-faith dialogue and understanding.

A week before the concluding program, a function was organised at a suburban restaurant over lunch for the representatives of various city NGOs to chalk out a plan for mutual cooperation to defeat hatred and enmity and promote peace and sustainable development in society.
