Eradicate the addiction – Public awareness programs by JIH Nagpur

“Nashe Ka Naash – Desh ka Vikas” campaign, which is being organised from October 2-8, was launched on 02nd October 2018 under the auspices of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra,
with many programs in different areas of the city.
The campaign was launched under the aegis of the Central Nagpur organization with a children’s rally from the Falah Manzil Hall, Muslim Football Ground via Ansar Nagar, Saifi Nagar,
Mominpura Chowk, Jama Masjid, Qasaab Pura, Takeeya and Qabristan Road. The rally highlighted the need of an intoxicant-free healthy society. More than 200 children participated
in the rally with play cards related to the ill-effects of intoxicants. Local people felicitated the rally in different areas and distributed items such as cake,
fruits, chocolate and sweet drinks to children.
Nagpur South Women’s Wing gave a message of campaign to women in around 50 households in Lodhipura, Haj House, Bhaldarpura, Bajeria and Ganjipat areas and gave them information regarding
the dangerous diseases of gutka, kharrah and alcohol.
Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, North West zone organized a public awareness campaign in Jhingabai Taakli. Various worker/labour/s were counselled to give up drug addiction.
Professor Mohammed Ayub Khan presented information on addiction and explained about the adverse health effects.
He said that Jamaat-e-Islami is working together with some de-addiction centers. He implored the audience to registering the name and mobile number of anyone suffering from
the addictions in the de-addiction centre.
He assured a prompt help in admitting the addicts and all support required in the treatment center.
