Jamaat e Islami Hind, Mumbra organized a grand program on the occasion of Melad un Nabi (pbuh) on Monday, 13th January 2014 at Falah Garden, near Sahil Hotel, Kausa, Mumbra.  The program commenced with the recitation of some verses from the Holy Qur’an and its translation in Urdu by Bro. Hafiz Mohammed Jawwad. Thereafter, a eulogy in praise of the Prophet( pbuh) was recited by Bro. Hafeez.

The Convenor of this program was Bro Abdus Salam, who briefly explained the importance of this program and the significance of following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in word and practice. The slogan of this program was My Prophet (pbuh) My Leader (Mentor).

Maulana Tauqeer sb, President of Ashrafiya Gharib Nawaz, Mumbra and representative of Hazrat Maulana Moeen Miyan Ashrafi Jilani stated that there is no harm in taking out processions on the occasion of Melad un Nabi (pbuh) but we must abstain from Music and Dance. We do not find any reference of these even in the teachings of Maulana Ahmed Raza Khan sb. Prof. Mohammed Javed Shaikh, President of Jamaat e Islami Hind, Mumbra reiterated the significance of the Teachings of Prophet(pbuh) and the need to follow them. Jamaat e Islami Hind, Mumbra is organizing a ten day campaign from 10th to 19th January 2014 to propagate the message that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is not only the prophet to Muslims but to the entire Humanity. We are currently facing several problems like rising prices, corruption, unemployment, law and order, violence against women and many other ailments which are increasing day by day. The only solution to all these problems has already been given by Our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) 1400 years ago and are applicable even today also so as to achieve success and peace in this World and the Hereafter.  Janab Azharuddin sb, Ex-President of Students Islamic Organization emphasized the importance of following the teachings of Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and said that every detail of the life of the Prophet (pbuh) is recorded by very trustworthy and virtuous people. The details of no other leader of the world is on record as that of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He quoted several examples from the biography of the Prophet (pbuh) to prove that the current problems of the society have solutions in the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Michael Hart, the famous historian placed the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) at Number 1 in ranking of the leaders who influenced and shaped successfully the largest part of the world. The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) led by example and the need of the hour is to accept him (pbuh) as our leader and mentor to solve the problems of our community, country and society at large.

Janab Maulana Shafi sb, President of the Jamiat e Ulema Hind, Mumbra spoke about the significance of Youth and their contribution to the development of society. He encouraged the youth to follow the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) and to study the Biography of the Prophet (pbuh) and the Qur’an so as to know the true facts about Islam. He further said that the life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in Makkah and Madinah is to be studied in detail so as to know the correct problems and its solutions.

Maulana Mahmood Pratapgarhi sb, representative of Jamiat Ahle Hadith gave examples from the Biography of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) that how people from far off places embraced Islam after listening to the teachings of the Prophet (pbuh) and the Holy Qur’an. We need to imbibe these teachings and practices in our day to day life so as to achieve peace in this world.

Janab Zafar Ansari sb, Secretary, Training, Jamaat e Islami Hind, Maharashtra said that people today are looking for spiritual solace in various forums and leaders; but in reality peace lies in following Islam and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He further said that the current ills of our society and our country have solution in Islam and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) which are to be followed in letter and spirit. He further said that it is our duty to propagate these teachings to our Non-Muslim brothers and we must resolve to meet at least one person on the auspicious occasion of Melad un Nabi.
