Mira Road (24.08.2013): Eid Celebration with other than Muslims is a routine activity of Jamate Islami Hind, this year it was fulfilled with an adult school situated at Mira Road.
Eid Milan was attended by the staff, Pta and adult learning prog members of St. Thomas High School. The convener of the prog. Adv Shahood Anwar, speakers Mr. Naushad Usman – editor Shodhan( Marathi), Mr. K. N. Vijaykumar Founder Trustee St. Thomas School, Mr. Abdul Waheed (Karkun Jamaat E Islami Hind, Mira Road), Abdul Qadeer (President JIH Mira Road), other Guests. Mrs. Jayanti Vijaykumar Head Mistress Primary Section and Mrs. Shruti HM Sec Section.
Inaugural Speech was delivered by Mr. K.N. Vijaykumar (Founder Trustee St. Thomas High School). Followed by Eid Message by Mr. Abdul Waheed (Coordinator Eid Milan)
Why we celebrate Ramadan? by Mr. Naushad Usman (Editor ‘Shodhan’) was the main speech of the program. He threw light on the day in and out of Ramadan why Quran is an important book for all human being and not just Muslims alone and quoted various examples in a lucid manner to explain his view point. Vote of Thanks was presented by one of the teachers.
All the attendees shared Sheer Qurma and snacks. Quran/Infomative books and flowers were distributed as Eidi.
