“Kash,” a short film made by “Jamaat-e-Islami Mumbai” to raise awareness about drug addiction, was awarded the “Social Awareness Award.”

KASH by Noble Reel Production is based on a true event and an experimental short fiction film.

Kash has previously been screened at several international film festivals and awarded as an official finalist at “The Sweden Film Awards” & “The India International Film Festival of Boston.”

As part of kurla units 2 year continuous campaign and planning  program jih kurla carried out an Anti-Drug Prog at Michael High School.
The rain season prog had 200 Students from higher secondary class , they were shown an explanatory film on ill effects of the menance.
Dr. Nahid Dave from sion hospital explained about various substances and its abuse. She also spoke about her experiences about drug addicts and remedial steps to avoid its dreaded effects.
Dr. Farida Akhtar was congratulated by supervisor mrs uma madam on this useful endeavour.
Miss Aesha from GIO anchored and carried the full prog on her shoulders.
This anti drug campaign will return to mohalla based prog once rain subsides.

As part of our continuous 2 year planning, in various vernacular schools, Jamaat e islami kurla unit organised a parental guidance program on 31 st july at 11am at BMCs Moreshwar patankar Marg school .
It was attended by 60 parents.
Prog included a well organised speech by Ameer e maqami who stressed upon the importance of responsibilities of a parent in upbringing their child in the light of islam and modern techniques.
The motive of the prog was presented by kurla unit nazima Dr. Farida saheba who emphasized on councelling and make parents aware of their responsibilities and make their children better human beings.
