JIH Mumbai Metro organized a three day Tarbiyah Gaah for its selected cadre in peaceful ambience of Padgha. Unlike conventional procedure of calling the cadre generally for participation in this Tarbiyah Gaah, the department of Tarbiyah adopted an innovative method of seeking assignment from the interested incumbents. Only those people were allowed to attend this camp who actually has furnished the assignment.

Following is a concise report of the three day Tarbiyah Gaah.

Day 1: 1st March 2013

The program started with Quranic discourse by Jb. Zaid Ayyubi on 18 to 22 verses of chapter Hashr. He highlighted that these verses guides us on utilizing the lifespan very seriously and effectively taking account every instance that whether we are preparing for hereafter.

Jb. Rashid Khan, incharge of department of Tarbiyath elaborated the very purpose of the training camp underlining the efforts put in for preparation of the camp and that participants need to utilize this opportunity for betterment of selves. He mentioned that the basic structure of this program is comprised of improving relation with Allah, understanding the ideology of JIH and enlighten the souls improving upon salaah, recitation of Quran and adopting adhkaar in day today life.

The very first address of Jb. Afzal Baig, Nazim Mumbai metro, was based on explanation of JIH ideology in the light of Quran and Hadith. He concluded that the basic ideology of JIH should be crystal clear in the minds of its workers. Only this clarity would lead to a well thought and committed attachment to our work.

A video on the life of founder of Jamaat-e-Islami, Moulana Syed Maudoodi (rah) was shown along with his exclusive short interview.

A panel discussion with Ameer-e-Halqa, Jb. Zaid Ayyubi and Naazim Division as panelists, cleared off many ambiguities on differences between tanzeem and tahreek.

Ameer-e-Halqa gave excellent concepts on Tanqeed and its etiquettes to be considered by the people involved.

An exclusive and comprehensive study of Tarbiyah system of Ikhwaan was briefed upon by Jb. Zaid Ayyubi late in the evening.

Lastly, Jb. Zaid Ayyubi vibrated the minds of the audience with tazkeer on chastisements of Qabr.

Day 2: 2nd Marc 2013

Soon after Fajr prayers, a practical session on recitation of Holy Quran was the beginner of the second day.

A video recording of Jb. Ameen ul Hasan on a hot debated issue “From Hukoomath-e-Ilahiya to Welfare Party of India”, gave a substantial clarity on the subject. Jb. Ameenul Hasan stressed that there is no change in the objective of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind as on date and would this objective would remain until the same is achieved. WPI is not a political outfit of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. However due to the changing circumstances in India, it would allow its members to support WPI and hence their political participation for the betterment of the deteriorating political system of the country.

Another key address was delivered live from Hyderabad by Jb. Sadathullah Hussaini on “Tahreek-e-Islami and other Contemporary Movements”, with a question and answer session after the speech. He highlighted the distinct features of Jamaat-e-Islami with sources of knowledge as Quran and Hadith accompanied with ijmaa of salf and ijtehaad of modern day being instrumental. These parameters separate Jamaat-e-Islami Hind from other contemporary movements.

An excellent panel discussion on objections raised on Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and its replies was coordinated by Jb. Rashid Khan. He got the replies to the major objections of other schools of thought from the panelists.

An important debate on “Tazkiyah – Responsibility of Organizational or Individual” was conducted in afternoon session. While the debate heated up, it became apparent that the thought holding Organization responsible to carry out tazkiyah of an individual did not possess any substance in their argument. However, Ameer-e-Halqa in his expert comments also indicated that tazkiyah is a two way process and the proportionate responsibility varies based on several parameters.

Main aur Meri Namaaz was an exclusive workshop, wherein the participant were taken through some key steps to feel and achieve the real taste of spirituality while offering regular prayers. The feedback after this session was quite appreciating with people expressing the change in their inner feeling after offering a couple of rakaths of salaah for 10 minutes as they are guided through this process of improvement of salaah by the coordinators.

Like the first day, Jb. Zaid Ayyubi enthralled the participants taking them on a journey through the blessings of paradise.

The second day ended with a demo of virtual death, with the coordinator taking the participants through various phases of the last journey of man towards his grave reminding them about the ending of this worldly life.

Day 3: 3rd March 2013

The third day started quite early with people getting up at 4.30 am for tahajjud prayers, which continued till prayer call of fajr.

After fajr prayers, the participants were grouped and the team leads conducted the study circles on chapter Ra’ad.

Jb. Aziz Mohiddin in the first session hinted at practical tools by means of which an individual can reap the benefits of reading Quran.

An interesting panel discussion on how to achieve the condition of Bunyaanam Marsoos within the circumference of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind was coordinated by Jb. Zafar Ansari, Ameer-e-Maqami, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mumbra. He had a deep insight at several factors which leads to the condition of Bunyaanam Marsoos.

The last session of the third day started with the prize distribution to the participants who have been engaged in several activities. Best assignment, best group tasks performance, man of Tarbiya gah, Creative person of Tarbiya gah, best extempore were the contests which were held and whose prizes were awarded to the winners and runners.

“The wide perception of Worship in Islam”, was the subject explored by former President, SIO of India, Br. Mohammad Azharuddin. He underscored the various aspects of worship which Islam teaches and how it covers every nook and corner of life of a believer. He also focused on the priorities Islam sets for an individual in worships and how it keeps changing based on circumstances. He concluded that obligation of Iqaamath-e-Deen and shahaadath-e-Huq is the final essence of all worships Islam prescribes to its followers.

Yet another key speech by Br. Azharuddin is “Rukhsath-o-Azeemath” in which he evoked the emotions of the participants citing various historical stories of prophet Ibraheem (as), Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his companions. While in his first speech he appeared calculative and intellectual, he turned to an excellent crowd puller in his latter address. At one instance, he cited Ibraheem’s (as) jump into the fire as the ultimate win of emotions over the thinking process, but very justified the same with the reason that intellect is required until the search of Almighty is accomplished, followed by the passionate run towards seeking His pleasure.

The last session of the training program ended with the key note address of Ameer-e-Halqa, in which he expressed the kind of expectations people across Maharashtra have from the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mumbai Division cadre. He encouraged the participants that it is quite easy to work on the various required fronts and the Ummah across India look with lot of hopes towards Ummah in Mumbai city. Specially, he mentioned the significance of relations with various embassies located in Mumbai city and how these relations could yield in result oriented works towards a better tomorrow. He terminated his inspiring speech with supplication to Allah to bless all with the courage and skills to meet the demands of present Tahreek-e-Islami.

The key features:

Random extempore speech after each address to ensure the proper participation and preparation of notes by the audience was something very unconventional in Jamaat-e-Islami Hind programs.

While Ameer-e-Halqa explained his topics through his regular lively and sweet method, Jb. Zaid Ayyubi have explained his topics in a very crisp and summarized method. Another exclusive feature of this training program was two well prepared emotional speeches of freshly retired National President of SIO Br. Muhammad Azharuddin, which reflected his energy, extensive experience owing to his nation-wide and international exposure as National President of a Student organization and his deep study of various subjects.

Personal counseling of the participants based on their self assessment, was yet another benchmark achievement of this tarbiyah gaah, wherein Jb. Zafar Ansari, Ameer-e-Halqa and Jb. Zaid Ayyubi Sb. gave tailor-made solutions to the problems individuals encounter in their day to day lives.

Predetermined recipes during three day stay and timely tea rounds during the sessions assisting the participants to kick off the sleep were the contributions of the local cadre of SIO. Thanks to Br. Shaariq who managed the overall technical affairs of the program, providing all support required.

All programs were made very lively and interactive enabling the participants to completely digest the ideological stuff they have been fed with.

Though it looked as if the Naazim-e-Ijtema is a military general, but all participants appreciated it as it was to impart disciplines among the participants and participants gave a lot duas and prayed for all the hardwork tarbiyah gaah committee put in.

The program ended by dua of Ameer-e-Halqa.

Every thing except prize distribution is good.
We will get reward in hear after not in this life.
That sense will develope thru tarbiah programes.
all the topics are excellent but prize distribution is not apreciable.
If this prize distribution is the programe of sio, that too for new comers is apreciable.it is not good for jamat.
