JALGAON: The Ideal Relief Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra organized a Disaster Management Training Camp at Millat School Ground, Mehrun, Dist. Jalgaon on 15th & 16th Feb. 2014).
Camp started by recitation of Quraan by Mushtaq Ahmad (President, JIH-Jalgaon). Mazhar Farooque (Asst. Secretary – Social Service Dept. JIH MS) gave the introduction of IRW & its aims and objectives. In his speech he stated that since many years camps are organized all over Maharashtra to train cadre for Natural Calamity, Flood, Fire and Accidental cases. And IRW in its long journey helped in Flood at Mumbai on July’ 2005. As the water was accumulated all over the roads, railways and in the houses. IRW team helped the people and the Govt. authorities to complete the task (Relief Work). In October 2005 Jammu & Kashmir Earthquake, a team from IRW Maharashtra was immediately deployed where a number of thousands people affected. The team after reaching Jammu did a tremendous work and did every possible help.
IRW helped the people as fire eruption occurred in areas of Aurangabad, Bandra in Mumbai.
In Amravati District flood the IRW cadre saved lives of 4 Non Muslim Brothers and did a good work on relief.
By the grace of Allah (Subhanahu wa Taala), all this work was carried by IRW under Ideal Relief Committee Trust irrespective of Religion, Cast, Creed and Community.
Mr. Shaikh Mateen (Secretary JIH Maharashtra) gave its presidential speech, said that IRW has come up with a vision to save humanity on a whole and said that this important task is the one done by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which is mentioned in Quran and Hadith. The one doing this is in actual doing the work of the Prophet and is on the mission of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He also said that serving the humanity is as if serving Allah.
Dr. Vijay Chaudhary, (Sr. Surgeon) Secretary Red Cross Society, Jalgaon gave lecture on First Aid and Animal Poisons & demonstrated how to prevent it and how to same the victims.
S P Athavle (Dist. Organizer Scout & Guide Jalgaon) demonstrated how to do rescue work during and after earthquake, floods, fire etc. with the rope, stick, handkerchief, scarf and other rescue materials available at the site of disaster and their best use.
Mr. More (Incharge Fire Brigade, Jalgaon) joined us with his team and demonstrated firefighting equipments, extinguisher and their use and how to do rescue work in times of emergency.
Mr. Javed Athar (Teacher of Madni School, Mumbai) a Black Belt in Kung fu & Martial Art expert, talked about how to defend oneself without harming others in emergency time. He gave some tips on self defence to IRW Cadre.
4-Wheeler Drive trainer Mr. Ab. Rahman gave demo and practical training to the Cadres and minutely inspected their driving perfection.
The sole purpose was to make IRW cadre active & alert. For this games Running, shot put and pulling rope competition were included under the able guidance and supervision of Mr T. B. Shaikh (Sports Teacher, Millat School, Jalgaon).
Awareness campaign was conducted by IRW cadres they were grouped in 6 different sections. They visited local areas of Jalgaon and aware the local people about cleanliness and hygienic.
In the concluding session Br. Adil Madni gave lectured to IRW cadres about the character development & morals values. Mazhar Farooque talked about plans and aims of IRW and its objectives. The conclusion speech was given by the Janab Shaikh Mateen. He told IRW cadre about what should be our aims & objectives in our lives. End of the camp was announced by Camp Organizer Br, Adil Khanon 16.02.2014 at 5.00 PM.
