PARBHANI: The Ideal Relief Wing (IRW) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra organized a 2 days Disaster Management Training Camp at Shadab Function Hall, Parbhani on 21^st & 22^nd March 2015. This camp was under the guidance of well trained professionals.

To save the society from droughts, floods, fire, natural calamities, accidents, social injustice and other miserable events. A volunteers group was trained to take quick practical response, named IRW.

The program began with the recitation of the Qur’an by Mr. Shaker khan (Vice President, JIH Parbhani), following which, the Secretary of Social Service Dept., Mr. Mazhar Farooque spoke on the importance and purpose of this training camp. Mr. Rizwanur Rahman Khan (Vice President of JIH Maharashtra), in his keynote address highlighted the importance of Khidmat-e-Khalq in today’s scenario.

Dr. Sharique Patel, (Jr. Surgeon), Parbhani gave lecture a thought provoking lecture on First Aid with demonstration.

Mr. Darunte (Incharge Fire Brigade, Parbhani) participated with his team. He explained the measures to be taken at the event of fire. How to douse it, how to contain it and how to do rescue work in times of emergency. The method of using fire extinguisher was demonstrated at this time.

4-Wheeler Drive trainer Mr. Jadhav gave demo and practical training to the Cadres and minutely inspected their driving perfection.

As a case study, on different events e.g. fire breaks out in a residential building or flood/ earthquake, Railway accident, Highway accident or a building collapse. Mr. Ab. Salaam gave guidance on rescue activities in detail.

On the 2^nd day, some groups were formed and they visited slum areas, Civil Hospital, in the streets and everywhere the participants were given guidance as how to perform relief and rehabilitation among the affected. Some volunteers were taken to swimming pool. A competition among the volunteers who knew swimming was also held.

To make the participants active and cheerful exercise and game competition were arranged.

Mazhar Farooque talked about aims, objectives, plans and activities of IRW.

The camp concluded with the instructions and directions from the Muavin Ameer-e-Halqa Mr. Rizwan R. Khan. He said that IRW has come up with a vision to save humanity on a whole, he advised the participants to work in favor of public welfare only to please their creator Allah without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and religion. The camp ended on Dua.
