“Indeed, in the messenger of Allah a ‘good example (uswatun hasana / أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَة)’ has been set for the one who seeks Allah and the Last Day and thinks constantly about Allah.” (Qur’an 33:21)
Various units of JIH Mumbai took the opportunity of spreading the message of Islam and the learnings from the Seerat-un-Nabi (pbuh) on December 24th, which was 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
- Santacruz had put banners and planned two Seerat jalsa, one at Masjid Ansar where Br. Salman, SIO Mumbai President addressed the audience on ‘Seerat e Rasool ka dawati pehlu’ & the other one addressed by Maulana Zafar Alam at Juhu Qabrastan Masjid.
- Kurla planned a Quran & Seerat bookstall along with chart display at the busy Kurla West local station, where the passer-bys were informed about the message of Islam, given free books and also Quran copies if the recipient showed interest in reading the Holy Quran. A total of 180 Quran copies were distributed along with 126 books on Seerat-e-Rasool (pbuh).
- And-Jogeshwari team did visit 2 hospitals in Goregaon West and distributed food packets to the admitted patients.
- Millat Nagar Ladies Wing organized a Khitab-e-Aam to spread the true message that the Prophet brought for the Mankind. Topics covered included ‘Ishq-e-Mustafa ke taqaze’and ‘Ummat-e-Muslima ka sunehra daur, Tehreek-e-Islam ke aaeene mein’. This was attended by 148 ladies and children.
- Vikhroli Parksite distributed a total of 450 food packets in 3 hospitals and a Madarasa. Along with JIH members, SIO, GIO and Ladies Wing also participated in this program.
- Mira Road put a Dawah counter on this occasion and saw an overwhelming response with over 250 handbills getting distributed along with 17 Quran copies and meeting with more than 15 members.
- Ladies wing of Mira Road organized a symposium on ‘Seerat un Nabi; which saw participation of close to 800 ladies.
- Madanpura also put up a book stall which was jointly participated by JIH and SIO of Madanpura unit. Approx. 400 booklets & 3 Quran were distributed in the bylanes of Kamatipura, at city center & Industrial estate of Arabgali.
- Apart from various units on-ground activities, Whatsapp and Facebook were also used as the medium to share information on Islam, Prophet’s life and Teachings of Islam.
