Mira Road
Man has, over the years, become very materialistic, and his quest for the pleasures and luxuries of this world has made him forget his responsibilities towards his own parents. A person spends his entire life in the pursuit of his children’s happiness; but when his bones turn weak, he is seen as an unwanted burden by his very children. Alas!
But humanity definitely has a brighter side. Today, several girls from Jamate Islami Hind, Mira Road’s Girls’ Islamic Organization (GIO) visited an old age home here to empathize with the graying wise. They gifted the elderly there with towels and booklets which speak of Allah’s abundant mercy towards His creation and gave them hope of a comfortable afterlife.
Man is forever in need of Allah’s guidance, more so in his last days. A person’s reckoning depends on his final state in life. The girls, out of concern and good-will towards these elderly folk sought to introduce them to divine mercy as a parting attempt to save them from the perils of a painful hereafter. The grateful smiles and tears the meek old women offered in return were much more than anyone could ever gather.
May Allah accept their endeavor and guide the old ladies, and indeed the entire humanity, to salvation.
