Awareness Program about Government Schemes in Bhandup
Mumbai: To create awareness and give information about the Union and State Govts. and to get benefit from them, Jamaat e Islami Hind (Bhandup) held an informative awareness workshop in Mohammadi High school Bhandup (W). Mr. Malik Akbar of JIH Bhandup reported that two of BMC Local Corporators namely Suresh Koperkar and Suresh Tripathi also attended the camp. In the beginning, an account of short introduction of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maharashtra, especially its Public welfare activities was given by its Zonal Secretary Mr. Mazhar Farooque. Detailed information about Govt. Schemes such as Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana (RGJAY), Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojana (JSSY) was given by Mr. Anees Ahmad of MPJ. Also information about Right To Free and Compulsory Education (RTE), Ration e.g. Anna Suraksha Yojana (ASY), Anna Purna Card and Anganwadi Scheme was given by Mr. Shabbir Deshmukh (President MPJ – Mumbai). Information of Govt. Scheme about widows, handicap persons and Sr. Citizens e.g. Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojana was given by Mr. Kamal Ansari. On queries from audience, the respective speakers replied and explained to their satisfaction. The participants were also made to know how to take benefit from these schemes. Local corporators also spoke to the audience and promised to help facilitate to get maximum benefits from these schemes.
