Micro,Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneur Summit – Mumbra 2015

Like every year, this year, Al-Aqsa Education and Welfare Trust and Young Entrepreneur Forum Mumbra in association with National Small Industries Corporation(NSIC) organized 3rd annual seminar on Micro, Small and Medium Scale Industries Summit in Mumbra and arranged a “Made in Mumbra Exhibition-2015” in which more than 300 people had benefitted and got inspired. This program was held at Zam Zam Hall, Mumbra on Saturday 28th March 2015.

The event saw about 50 people listing various success stories based in Mumbra after the previous 5 yrs struggle. The event aimed at cleaning Mumbra of the tag of an underdeveloped suburb and help entrepreneurs set up thousands of industries highlighting the fact that Mumbra has a huge logistic hub close by in Bhiwandi and an MIDC in Taloja Mahape belt and can be accessed by 2 national highways.
“Made in Mumbra exhibition” was there in which stalls were there for Security surveillance, Moulding and Engines material, Cloths, Color and perfumes , Cake and Vada pav etc. showing what the dedicated people of Mumbra had done and achieved in their businesses.
The Summit was Inaugrated with Recitation of Holy Quran & its English Translation By Br.Hafiz Jawwad Sb. Malik Abdul Salam (Proprietor Malik Data System) Welcome’s the Guests of the Program .
Mr. Saif Asre (Secretary Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Mumbra, Proprietor Asre Kitchen) presented the report of Interest free Micro Finance managed by Jamat-e-Islami Hind Mumbra. Saif said, till Now almost 1000 micro units/ unemployed person has been benefited by this Scheme by providing Rs10,000 Interest free Loan for one Year. Its an Small Initiative of Jamaat-e-Islami Mumbra to eradicate the Poverty and for the upliftment of economically weaker section of the society. Jamaat-e-Islami Mumbra is also in process to Open a branch Of Sahulat Micro Finance, Said Saif.
Mr. Sameer Khan CA( ACA, CS): has delivered the lecture on fundamentals of business taxing like VAT/CST, Service tax, Excise duty, Professional Tax, income tax & LBT. Moreover Mr. Sameer Khan clarified many misundersting of Taxes that usually people come across during inceptional stage of business.
Ms. Raziya Chasmawala told about women doing various businesses and give assurance about their social help and economical upliftment.
Mr. Ziya Ul Islam (Sr. Oracle DBA) explained in detail that internet and social networking sites like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, web portals, b2b portals like MSMEmart.com, alibaba.com, tradeindia.com, etc can play a key role to develop the business in domestic as well as International Market.

Hemant(NSIC officer) asked all the entrepreneurs to register their business with District industry center so that they can enjoy the benefits of Government schemes also explained in detail regarding various Schemes provided by National Small industries corporation (NSIC).

Some important points he stressfully brought to particpants notice.
Bank Credit Facilitation : To meet the credit requirements of MSME units, NSIC has entered into a Memorandum Understanding with various Nationalized and Private Sector Banks . Through syndication with these banks NSIC make arrangement for credit support (fund or non fund based limits) from banks without any cost to MSME.
Performance & Credit Rating : Upto 75% discount for Performance & Credit rating of Micro ,Small & Medium Business Unit are provided by rating agencies like CARE, CRISIL, India Ratings, ICRA, ONICRA NSIC-D&B-SMERA Rating, BRICKWORK RATINGS (BWR)
Raw Material Assistance: Raw Material Assistance Scheme aims at helping MSEs by way of financing the purchase of Raw Material (both indigenous & imported). This gives an opportunity to MSEs to focus on better manufacturing quality products. Benefits of the Scheme Financial Assistance for procurement of Raw Material upto 90 days. MSEs helped to avail Economics of Purchases like bulk purchase; cash discount etc. NSIC takes care of all the procedures, documentation & issue of Letter of credit in case of imports.
Bill Discounting Scheme: The Scheme covers purchase / discounting of bills arising out of genuine trade transactions i.e. purchase of supplies made by small scale units to reputed Public Limited Companies / State and Central Govt. Departments / Undertakings.
Government Purchase: The units registered under Single Point Registration Scheme of NSIC are eligible to get the benefits under “Public Procurement Policy for Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) Order 2012” benefits Like Issue of the Tender Sets free of cost; Exemption from payment of Earnest Money Deposit (EMD),In tender participating MSEs quoting price within price band of L1+15 percent shall also be allowed to supply a portion upto 20% of requirement by bringing down their price to L1 Price where L1 is non MSEs.
Exhibitions : NSIC organises and participates in domestic and specialized product & technology related international exhibitions to help MSMEs (erstwhile SSIs) in marketing their products and projects in both national and international arenas. 25%-75% reimbursement in booking stall in any domestic industrial exhibition once in a financial year.
Infomediary : NSIC, realizing the needs of MSMEs offers Infomediary Services which is a one-stop, one-window bouquet of aids that will provide information on business, technology and finance, and also exhibit the core competence of Indian SMEs. Marketing Intelligence Services : Potential beneficiaries would be MSMEs seeking business collaboration and co-production opportunities, joint ventures, exporters and importers, and those looking for technology transfer. Mumbra’s people were happy about these type of program. In theirs opinion such type of programs improves the Image of mumbra and the network of business man, business will get boost. People had admired Jamaat e Islami Supportiveness for this program and gave good words to Jamaat e Islami Mumbra and Al Aqsa Education and Welfare Trust.
