Pune:(20 th August): Current situation of Egypt and future course of action was organized in Islamic centre(Markaz JIH) in pune on 20th August 2013, by various Muslim organizations.Honorable Syed Aziz Mohiuddin (Member advisory council of JIH Maharashtra) presided over the programme.
The programme began with the recitation of a few verses of the holy Quran. Local president of JIH Pune made an introductory speech. He threw light on the objectives of the programme and said that peace-loving people of Egypt have been facing extreme cruelty in recent days.He emphasized that all muslim and non muslim organizations should agitate against this extreme cruelty. He appreciated Urdu Media specially Daily Inquilab, ETV Urdu, Daily Urdu Times, Daily Rashtriye Sahara, Daily Aurangabad Times and Asia Express for making pivotal role to make aware the people about current
situation of Egypt. Advocate Shahed Aqtar said that killings of innocent people are murder of democracy. Shaikh Arshad (Member of JIH) introduced about the history of Egypt and sacrifices of Iqawanul Muslemoon’s cadre. He wondered that Iqwanul Muslemoon’s head Mr. Mohammad Morsi was elected in a democratic way, but military dictatorship deposed him from his post and international community became mute spectator! He further said, being a major democratic nation in the World we Indians have moral obligation to come forward to retain democracy in Egypt.
Addressing on the occasion, Maulana Razeen Ashraf Nadvi (Shaikul Hadees) said that Muslim Ummah is like one body and God has created us to make justice in the World. Continuous devastation, oppression and violence in Egypt is extremely condemnable. All the muslims should come forward for peaceful protest against this cruelty and violence. Prof. Azahar Ali Warsi (Member Advisory council JIH) said ‘America’s and Isarael’s intrigues are involved in current Egypt’s situation; as a result muslims are shedding blood of their brothers. Therefore, it is our responsibility to pressurize the government to express their displeasure and compel them to raise their voice in UNO for survival of democracy in Egypt. Chief Guest Maulana Faqurddin said in his address that this meeting is very important because we are here to ponder and share the pain of Egyptian brothers. Prof. Aziz Mohiuddin read the suggestion from public for remedy to the current situation .He further added in his presidential address that we must meet muslim as well as non muslim social organizations to protest against human rights violation and military dictatorship. Ulemas(Scholars) should spread this message(current situation of Egypt) among all general public through Friday sermons and organize group prayer for the protection of life, property, respect and honor of Egyptian muslim. It was decided unanimously that a protest rally would be organized against this situation on dated 31st August 2013 after Asar prayer at M.G. Road Pune in which all people irrespective of their caste,creed, religion and people of different views will attend the rally and will register their protest against human right violation in Egypt. views on the occasion were Mujeeb Patel, Shahebaz Barvi , Shafi Sb., Anwar Bagwan, and Usman Haroli sb. Programme concluded on Duwa which was presented by Mufti Ismail sb.
