Jamaat -e-Islami Hind Nagpur has started distributing Ramzan Kit to the poor and needy before the beginning of Ramzan through its various cells. Dr. Anwaar Siddiqui Nagpur City President stressed the importance of disturbing the Ramzan kit that it would help people to keep fast because it gives them some relief with the hard work. In the beginning, various cells of JiH prepared the list of deserving people particularly widows and who fell below the poverty line and the distribution of the Ramzan kit commenced. This kit contained the provisions of daily needs. 860 kits have been distributed in Kamptee and Nagpur. The widow Bilkis Bano who lives along with her handicapped daughter Tabassum Bano became very happy with this kind gesture of JIH. Another beneficiary Farzana Begam a widow who lost her husband 18 years ago and lives along with her daughter was of the opinion that with the support of JIH. They would keep the fast without any worries. Khurshedha Begam another widow revealed beside being helped with Ramzan kit it also provides me regular medicine. Farzana Khan a widow who lost her husband a month ago and she has two small children and she doesn’t have another source of income but the timely assistance of JIH proved a savior as it gives her monthly financial assistance.
