IIIrd ONE-DAY REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON GOVT. WELFARE SCHEMES FOR MUMBAI REGION.
At MUMBRA

A regional workshop on Govt. Welfare Schemes was organized by JIH Maharashtra on the 06th of March 2016 at Tanwar Nagar, Mumbra for MUMBAI Region (Included Dist.: Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigadh & Sindhudurg). The benefit of the needy, unemployed, widows, divorcees, orphans Sr. citizens and handicaps was accorded prime focus in this workshop.
The program started with the recitation of the Qur’aan by Maulana Inayatullah Falahi following which, Mazhar Farooque (Sec. – Social Service Dept.) spoke on the purpose of this workshop and the importance of Khidmat-e-Khalq.

Mr. Md. Naeem (Incharge – Medical Guidance Centre Mumbai Metro) spoke on the medical guidance related to Cancer, Kidney Transplant and Bypass surgeries. He went on to explain how a person can benefit from Rajiv Gandhi Jeevan Dayee Arogya Yojna and Charity Commissioner Schemes and what is the procedure to get the amount, what are the practical difficulties patients and their relatives face and so on.

Mr. Husain Khan (Sec. – MPJ Maharashtra) explained how the widowed, divorced, handicapped and senior citizens can benefit from Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Yojna (SGNY), Indira Gandhi National Widow pension scheme (IGNWPS), National family benefit scheme (NFBS), Right to food & Samaj Kalyan Dept. Handicap scheme etc. He also explained how the poor section of the society can benefit from Rationing and Labour Rights.

Mr. Ab. Salaam Malik (Member – Entrepreneurship Devlpt. Cell, JIH Maharashtra) gave a brief introduction of Entrepreneurship and about Small Skill Industries & Self employment. Also explained how Govt. and semi Govt. employees can benefit from NSIC / NSDC etc.

Mr. Feroz Shaikh (Mumbra Voice Foundation) explained how to create and run Job Chambers for employment.

Mr. Raj Faiyaz of Pune explained how to benefit from Government Schemes for Re construction of houses of villages and cities and also gave a detailed explanation of Maha e-Seva Kendra, Common Service Center, e-governance project and Setu.

Mazhar Farooque in his concluding words encouraged the cadre to positively convert every opportunity they get to please Allah. It is our duty to strive for the development and progress of the masses and to procure justice and equality for them, irrespective of their class, creed, religion, race or gender. He concluded the workshop with dua.
More than 50 Arkan /Karkunan (Gents & ladies) of Mumbai region attended the workshop.
