11th Jan-Mumbai
The incident of Wadala involving the two little children was a very inhuman act. The Urdu Newspaper “INQUILAB” quoted that on 8th Jan in slums of Wadala a thief robbed jewelleries and many expensive items including cash money of Rs. 3000 from a bag of small child. It was only a small amount but it took years for that little child to gather penny after penny for such an amount. The tragedy to that innocent child doesn’t end here, he robbed the school bag of other child and when he didn’t get any money from it, he ruined all of his books.
As soon as SIO MUMBAI got this news from reference of the Urdu newspaper, it felt incumbent to help these children. Also SIO MUMBAI took the issue to MPJ for legally aiding the victim’s family. Being the student organization, the PR and media sec. Of SIO Mumbai division, Zakir Shaikh visited the child’s home and donated the sum of Rs 3000 and additional amount of Rs 500 for the students’ ruined books. It was a small amount but left smiles on their faces. Every unit should find these type of cases and should solve them on its own, as this is a great step towards social cause.
