Jalna:

(1) Jalna district had become matter of discussion for acute shortage of water in whole Maharashtra. Government of Maharashtra didn’t take firm steps for providing water. J.I.H. Jalna unit decided to take up this important issue. Local unit not only pressurized the government to tackle the situation but also took a kind step in this regard and despite being its minimum resources supplied 135 tankers for three months to quench the thirst of the people. A delegation of J.I.H. unit also met to Honorable collector and demanded to appoint Deputy Collector as its head for providing water. Honorable collector accepted the demand and appointed Deputy Collector Rajendr Guru as its head. Not only people of the city but also honorable chief minister Prithviraj Chavan appreciated this kind step. A delegation from Islam Badi village met local president Abdul
Mujeeb and requested to provide water. J.I.H. unit not only fulfill their demand but also urged the concerned authority to meet their demand. Islam Badi village received 1200 liter water every day.
(2) J.I.H. Local unit and its wings M.P.J., I.R.W. and Youth Wing with its 169 volunteers accomplished the cleanliness task of Ghanewadi reservoir to solve permanent solution of water.
(3) J.I.H. Jalna unit also joined Local M.L.A. run movement to meet their demand to connect Jalna city with Jayekwadi Damp.Local unit spent near about 103000/- Rs. For providing
drinking water and also its five volunteers served almost for three months.
